Yes. The consultation and the dental check-up are free — that includes an examination of all your teeth and gums and a written treatment plan with costs. X-rays and treatment itself are charged separately, and we will tell you the cost before doing anything.

Root canal treatment starts at ₹2,500 and a dental implant starts at ₹18,000 per tooth including the crown (cap) fitted on top. Final costs depend on the tooth, the material chosen and the complexity of the case, which is why we examine first and then quote. We accept cash, UPI, debit and credit cards. For longer treatments such as orthodontics, payment is normally collected in stages as the treatment progresses rather than in a single amount at the start. Ask at the consultation and we will set out the schedule alongside the total.

Most Indian health insurance policies cover dental treatment only when it follows an accident or is part of a hospitalisation, so routine dental work is usually paid for directly. We will give you a proper itemised invoice and any treatment records your insurer asks for so you can file a reimbursement claim.

Almost everything we do is carried out under local anaesthesia, so the procedure itself is not painful. We use topical gel before the injection so even that is barely felt. Some tenderness for a day or two after extractions, root canals or gum surgery is normal and is managed with ordinary painkillers. If you are anxious about pain, tell us at the start — it genuinely changes how we pace the appointment.

Every six months for most adults. If you have gum disease, diabetes, or you smoke or chew tobacco, we usually recommend every three to four months. A cleaning is the cheapest appointment in dentistry and it is the one that prevents the expensive ones.

Healthy gums do not bleed. Bleeding is the earliest sign of gum inflammation, and at that stage it is completely reversible with a professional cleaning and a correction of brushing technique. Ignored, it progresses to bone loss around the teeth, which cannot be reversed. Please do not wait for it to hurt — gum disease very rarely does until it is advanced.

Most children are ready around 12 to 14, once the permanent teeth are through. But an orthodontic check-up at about age 7 is worthwhile because some bite problems are far easier to correct while the jaw is still growing. There is no upper age limit — we treat adults routinely.

Pick the tooth up by the crown, never the root. If it is dirty, rinse it briefly in milk or saline — do not scrub it. Put it straight back into the socket and bite gently on a clean cloth.
