Dental Crowns & Bridges
Rebuild a broken tooth or fill a gap with a natural-looking cap
A dental implant is a small titanium screw placed into the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Once the bone grows around it, an abutment and a custom crown are fixed on top. The result is a tooth you can bite into an apple with — no plate to take out at night, and no need to grind down the healthy teeth on either side the way a traditional bridge does.
At our dental clinic in Patel Nagar we plan every implant on a digital X-ray first, so you know before the procedure exactly where the implant will sit, how much bone you have, and what the final tooth will look like. Most single implants are placed under local anaesthesia in under an hour, and patients go back to work the same day.
Our implants start at ₹18,000 per tooth, and that figure includes the crown that goes on top — it is not added to your bill afterwards as a separate charge. Cases needing a bone graft or a sinus lift first are quoted at the planning stage, never once you are in the chair.
Implants work for a single missing tooth, for several teeth in a row (an implant-supported bridge), and for a full arch. If you have been wearing a loose denture for years, implant-supported dentures can lock that denture in place so it stops slipping while you eat or speak.
Implants do not decay, but the gum around them can get infected if plaque builds up. Brush twice a day, clean between the teeth, and come in for a check-up and cleaning every six months. Looked after properly, an implant can last decades.
The implant is placed under local anaesthesia, so you feel pressure but not pain. Most patients describe the soreness afterwards as milder than an extraction, and it settles in two to three days with routine painkillers.
The implant itself takes under an hour. The bone then needs about 3 to 4 months to fuse to it before the final crown goes on. A temporary tooth can be given in the meantime so you are never without a tooth in front.
With good brushing, cleaning between the teeth and a check-up every six months, implants routinely last 15 to 25 years or more. The crown on top may need replacing sooner than the implant itself.
There is no upper age limit. What matters is your general health and the amount of bone available, both of which we assess at the consultation.
